For those of you who are not familiar with this London based designer, Here is a quick and easy guide.
We were first introduced to Peter Jensen during his New York Fashion Week showcase and have been hooked ever since. Peter Jensen is signature for his whimsical, eccentric designs and he is not afraid to use bold color to enhance his minimalist aesthetic (see colorblock leather satchels below).
From Spring/Summer 2011
Upper: Blue Front Angela Bag featured with hand-dyed Upsate scarf

There is equally one part modern and one part fairytale fantasy that is consistent in this update of the Angela Bag. I couldn’t help but think of a little train set I used to play with or the color story of Alice in Wonderland (somehow this reference is always sneaking its way into our shop, and it’s also possible that a soy latte appears every time I use it).
Now for fall 2011, the designer is moving in another direction. With a beautiful look book shot by famed photographer Autumn de Wilde and stylist Shirley Kurata, we are taken on a journey with a backpack full of neutral tones, neon accents, and a a copy of Jean-Luc Godard’s, “Une Femme est Une Femme.”
The muse for this new collection is undoubtedly Danish actress, Anna Karina (below).
With the beatnik inspiration of Anna Karina’s character and the backdrop of Los Angeles, Peter Jensen’s fall collection weaves both romance and feminine and paints them on a masculine canvas composed of tweed, corduroy, and printed crepe de chine.
It’s 70 degrees in Los Angeles and we are more than ready for Spring. New season means new Tenoversix collaborations, new collections from our favorites, and introductions to up and coming designers. It’s time to clear out, reorganize, and refresh your wardrobe with these Spring Essentials:
#1 Vena Cava x TENOVERSIX - from the runway to your closet. Love at first sight.
#2 Rodebjer - Swedish design with a twist on the classic feminine, creating wearable and stylish pieces for the modern woman
#3 Jesse Kamm - We are in love with this geometric inspired print! Here is a perfect go-to dress for the spring! Pair it with your favorite sandals or ankle booties!
Rachel Comey Dangerfield Boots in Leopard
Originally $426, On Sale for $370
When we first got these in, I texted a picture to my friends with the caption “ZOMGZ. NEED.” One of them texted back “Those are the quintessential Tank Girl butt-kickers that every woman needs.” As my personal resolution for 2011 is to return my wardrobe to a more post-apocalyptic aesthetic, this shoe is perfect for me right now.
In addition to being paired with layers and layers of the blackest Owens and Demeulemeester (or cut up military tops, short shorts, and a knee bandage), I can just as easily envision these boots with long, camel, chiffon skirts and slightly-too-big sweaters or the quirky and off-beat prints and cuts of Comey’s clothing. They’re a slightly refined, heeled answer to Doc Martens, and I want to wear them every day of my life, with everything that I own. I mean, greyish leopard print is basically a neutral, right?
Ever think a laser-cut-leather-and-Swarovski-crystal necklace would be an absolute necessity? Neither did we, until we got in Gabriela Artigas’ new necklaces from her The Futuristic collection. It’s like the overall aesthetic of Bladerunner meets the decadence of The Great Gatsby, and any of these pieces would look equally as stunning with a floor-length, sleek, black gown with slicked back hair and red lips or a white t-shirt and jeans.
In light of the holidays, we’re really feelin’ red pumps today.
First, we have our red suede pumps, Kat, in Lipstick Red, back in stock just in time for all of your holiday parties.
We created this pump at the request of one of our favorite fashion friends, Christene Barberich (amazing editor for Refinery29, NY Times, etc..), and she was right on the money. They were such a big hit last year, we’ve re-issued them.
Second, there’s this beyond gorgeous ’50s-themed short chiller starring fabulous red pumps on Bryce Dallas Howard (accented by red lips and, of course, red hair) by one of our fave photographers, Alex Prager.
